AP Government Midterm Review

December 12th, 2008

Below is  a pdf file of the AP Review powerpoint from class this week.  Look this over, and please email me any questions you might have so we can address them on Monday.

If you think you’re pretty good on the facts and content, start thinking of ways that the following “groups” affect each other in politics:

  • The Constitution
  • the people
  • Congress
  • President
  • Bureaucracy
  • political parties

Being able to discuss the power that each has over the other groups, and the specific checks and balances that control the other groups will be a big help on the midterm, and tends to be the focus of at least 2 of the FRQs on the AP exam each year.  We’ll have a “mind-map” of these topics and connections in class on Monday to help with all of this.
