Diigo is a social-bookmarking tool (like del.icio.us, furl, or porta-portal). It’s an easy way to share your bookmarks with other teachers and students. I like Diigo over some of those others because of their educator accounts which allow your students to get your bookmarks, and share sites with you and each other, but it can still be closed off to the general public for the students’ safety. The diigo toolbar is a handy addition to your browser toolbars and allows you to quickly tag pages. For those classes that use current events throughout the year, this could be a great way to bookmark news stories with tags that fit your curriculum.
